THE TRAINING MODEL AND WHAT TO EXPECT
PER AGE GROUP

Junior Futsal (U5 – U8):  BEGINNERS

The objective is to introduce the basics of futsal and focus on basic futsal techniques. This group will train for 60 minutes per session and coaches are to be prepared with fun activities that will incorporate the following:

 

• Basic agility, motor skills, coordination, and balance

• Step on the ball / control with the sole / keep the head up

• Basic passing techniques with different parts of the foot

• Basic dribbling techniques with different parts of the foot

• Basic shooting techniques with different parts of the foot

• Players will be encourage to use both legs

Intermediate Level  (U9 – U11): INDIVIDUAL TECHNIQUE

This training category is designed for players between the birth years of 2010 through 2012 who still need to improve basic futsal skills. The focus for this category will be individual technique. Our goal is to teach players how to utilize futsal skills and individual techniques to start achieving the main objective of the next phases: individual tactic.

 

Players in this category are committed soccer players who are looking to learn different skills and techniques through futsal training. This group will train for 90 minutes per session and coaches are to be prepared with fun and challenging activities that will incorporate the following:​

• Agility, motor skills, coordination, and balance

• Step on the ball / control with the sole / keep the head up

• Passing techniques with different parts of the foot

• Dribbling techniques with different parts of the foot

• Shooting techniques with different parts of the foot

• Step on the ball to fake, step on the ball to change direction

• Ball movement, basic futsal rotation, and keeping possession of the ball

• Players will be encourage to use both legs and correct body position

• Understand the importance of back post to attack and defend

​Advanced Level (U9 – U11): INDIVIDUAL TECHNIQUE AND TACTIC

This training category is designed for Heart and Sole DA players between the birth years of 2010 through 2012 who are displaying advanced futsal skills and techniques for their age group. Our goal is to teach players how to utilize individual technique and start working on individual tactic to execute ball movement, ball possession, and futsal rotations. This group will get ready for the next phase: collective tactics.

 

Participants in this category are committed soccer and futsal players who are looking to learn different skills and techniques through more futsal training. This group will train for 90 minutes and coaches are to be prepared with fun and challenging activities that will incorporate the following:

• Agility, motor skills, coordination, and balance

• Step on the ball/control with the sole / keep the head up

• Advanced passing techniques with different parts of the foot

• Advanced dribbling techniques with different parts of the foot

• Advanced shooting techniques with different parts of the foot

• Step on the ball to fake, step on the ball to change direction

• Ball movement, futsal rotation, and keeping possession of the ball

• Players will be encouraged to use both legs and correct body position

• Learn how to attack and defend back post

• Start the basics of collective tactics

• Start learning set plays
